Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) – Newfoundland Mount Pearl

Objective:

Assists federal SAR forces in the province. Promotes aviation safety. Operates in five zones in Newfoundland and Labrador. Each zone has its own support staff and infrastructure. Members participate in training sessions, workshops coordinated by the National Association in aviation safety, spotting techniques, map reading, and other SAR techniques. Tasked by RCC Halifax. Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador (SONL) is dedicated to enriching the lives of Newfoundlanders and Labradoreans with an intellectual disability through sport. It is a provincial not-for-profit grassroots organization that provides sport training and competition opportunities athletes of all ages and abilities.
