The Cow Head Lobster Festival is one of the events sponsored by the Cow Head Special Events Committee. Since 1980, the Cow Head Lobster Festival has kicked off the summer tourism season. Along with the Lobster Festival, the Cow Head Special Events Committee also sponsors the Cow Head Winter Carnival. The Winter Carnival takes place in early March and includes outdoor games, dart tournaments, dances, snow sculpturing, and other events for youth and adults.
